Kurt Andree
I attended Nicolet Bible Institute from 2001-2002.
As I ended my time in high school and wondered what was next, it seemed like God was calling me to invest the time at Nicolet Bible Institute and grow in my faith. I had friends who had gone through the program and had gained so much from their time there. It was one of the best years of my life. The relationships with the other students and staff provided the structure I needed to grow and understand how God had wired me. The classes deepened my understanding of Scripture, and the hands-on practical experience of serving at a camp gave me some amazing opportunities to serve and better discover my gifts. My desire to serve Christ continued to grow.
After my year at NBI, I took a year off before I attended Moody Bible Institute to obtain my Bachelor’s Degree in Biblical Studies. I moved back to Michigan where I served as an Associate Pastor at CrossBridge Church, working with the youth and worship ministries. I married my amazing wife, Alyssa, and we eventually transitioned to Nebraska, where I am attending school and working at Nebraska Medicine. Over the past few years, God has grown my desire to serve people, and has deepened my interest in the medical field. We are prayerfully pursuing the possibility of a Physician’s Assistant program within the next few years, and are excited to see how God will use us.
God has used my time at Nicolet Bible Institute to shape a lot of my character since then, and I am very thankful for how God grew me that year. I would not hesitate to recommend the program to anyone who is looking for a great education, ministry opportunity, and time of spiritual growth.
